The Common Core CC is a new set of standards that many states, like Georgia, have adopted. We began implementing Common Core Georgia Performance Standards CCGPS in 2012-2013. How is it different? These new standards are asking children to back up their thinking with proof. They will be solving problems, and while doing so, they must give reasons or provide evidence to support their response. They will also be required to write in all subject areas and read more informational texts.
